I love my Polar Ignite. The reliable, convenient wrist-based heart rate and the nightly recharge recovery information have been so valuable to me. The sync has worked fine for me: 1. Turn on the display with the back button. 2. Hold the button until it says it’s connecting to the app. 3. Wait til it’s done. Occasionally I have to force stop and restart the app to see the latest data.The data displays in the app are informative and well thought out. For example, you can look at the screen for today’s nightly charge and then scroll backwards to compare the numbers to previous nights.The one annoyance is the process of setting the screen always on during training. You can’t do it until after the session is started and time is already running. That’s bad. The option should be settable from the quick menu on the training screen. Or even better, a global option for keeping the screen always on during training with a local option (same as existing) to override that setting.

Seems crazy there has been this much innovation in GPS technology. Last year I still felt the GPS enabled fitness watches on the market were too bulky and didnt fit well at all. The Ignite is SO SLIM and SO LIGHT I cant get over it. Really pleased with the product so far, only issue was a user error on my part (PSA: Make sure the display is changed to ALWAYS ON during a run so the screen stays backlit). Bonus is the ability to change wristbands. Already found a few cool colors!
